Day 2 � Athens
This morning was an early start at 8�ish - �ish is the �Greek Way�, we were forewarned by Gimpy that the
Greek are a very relaxed culture and everything is �ish. So, when you say 8�ish, it could
be 8.00am, it could be 8.30am, it could even be 9.00am! They don�t run anything by time and they
shut down all the shops from 2 � 5 (depending on how they feel) for a Siesta.
We reached the site of the Acropolis where we had a local tour guide show us through the ruins
explaining everything to us as we went along. It was already about 40 degrees and it was only 9am.
It was then back to the room to freshen up for our traditional Greek Dinner & Show that night. We had
front row tables (which we discovered later on were in prime positions to be dragged up on stage!)
